Titanium coil strip/titanium foil production method:
Electrode preparation → Vacuum melting → Forging and billet opening → Hot rolling → Cold rolling → Annealing (heat treatment) → Plates, strips, foils.

Titanium coil strip rolling:

The manufacturing method of titanium foil is widely used in flat roll strip rolling, which is characterized by high productivity, scale and output. The basic use of six-roll cold rolling mill or 20-roll cold rolling mill for production.

Heat treatment: the mainstream of the heat treatment of titanium strip and foil there are two kinds of heat treatment: vacuum annealing and continuous on-line protection annealing. Vacuum annealing, is the roll or sheet titanium foil placed in a vacuum furnace for heat treatment; titanium strip foil continuous on-line protection annealing is a new technology in recent years, compared with the vacuum annealing has a higher production efficiency, and product quality has a higher level of enhancement, but the threshold of the equipment is higher, especially on the product quality and titanium strip foil mechanical properties of the index has a good guarantee. 

The specimen for chemical analysis should be representative of the material being examined. Extreme care should be taken when taking specimens for chemical analysis of titanium because titanium has a strong affinity for these elements such as oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen; therefore, cutting of specimens for analysis should be carried out in as dust-free an environment as possible, and crumbly specimens should be taken from clean metal, with cutting tools that are clean and sharp. Specimens for analysis should be stored in suitable containers.

It should be analyzed using standard methods routinely used by both supply and demand. In case of inconsistency, arbitration shall be carried out in accordance with method E120, except for carbon, oxygen and hydrogen, which are not included in method E120, for which test method E1409 shall be used for oxygen and test method E1447 shall be used for hydrogen.
