Products Description

Ring forgings are a product of the forging industry, a type of forgings. It is a metal billet (excluding plate) that is subjected to an external force and shaped by plastic deformation into a ring-shaped object with a suitable compression force as required. This force is typically realized through the use of a hammer or pressure. The forging process builds delicate granular structures and improves the physical properties of the metal. Ring forgings are found in everyday life and are an industrial product.

Production process
1,Preparing raw materials: Cut the ingot into reasonable size and weight according to the product requirement;
2,Heating: Heating equipments are mainly single chamber furnace, pusher furnace and bench annealing furnace, all heating furnaces use natural gas as fuel, and the heated titanium ingot enters the forging process.
3,Forging: Titanium ingots are taken out from the heating furnace, then put into the air hammer or electro-hydraulic hammer by the operator, according to the size of titanium ingots and forging ratio requirements for the corresponding piering roughness, draw length and other processes, real-time monitoring of the size of the forgings, and infrared thermometer to control the forging temperature.
4, inspection: Preliminary inspection of the forging blanks, mainly the appearance and size of the inspection.
5,Heat treatment: The forging is heated to a predetermined temperature, held for a certain period of time, and then cooled at a predetermined rate, in order to improve the internal organization and properties of the forging a comprehensive process. Its purpose is to eliminate internal stress, prevent deformation in machining, adjust the hardness of the forging to facilitate cutting. After heat treatment of titanium ingots, according to the requirements of the material for air-cooled or water-cooled, quenching treatment.
6, rough machining: After the basic molding of the forging, it will be processed into various kinds of forgings with different specifications according to the product requirements.
7,Ultrasonic flaw detection: The temperature of the forging is reduced to about 20℃ after the end of cooling for ultrasonic flaw detection to meet the standard requirements.
8,Mechanical properties test: The mechanical properties of the forgings are mainly yield, tensile, impact and other tests.
9, final inspection: Final inspection of finished forgings to ensure that the appearance of the forging is smooth without cracks and other defects, the size of the drawings within the requirements.
10,Storage: After quality inspection of the finished forgings, after a simple packaging process into the finished product warehouse for shipment.
