The most widely used titanium forgings are Ti-6Al-4V (Gr5), Ti-5Al-2.5Sn (Gr6) and industrial pure titanium (Gr1, Gr2 and Gr3).

Localized surface defects can be removed by grinding, cleaning depth should not exceed the size tolerance, and should ensure that the minimum allowable size. The ratio of cleaning depth to width of both end faces should not exceed 1: 6, and the inner and outer sides should not exceed 1: 10. Outer grinding should be carried out along the axial direction.
