Gr9 titanium alloy is a titanium alloy material also known as TC3.0 (Ti-3Al-2.5V) ,Gr9 titanium alloy is slightly stronger than TC4 titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) but lower than Gr5 titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V). It has higher strength and rigidity, but less flexibility.
GR9 alloy is a low-alloyed near-alpha titanium alloy, the alloy has better cold forming and welding properties, room temperature strength is 20% to 50% higher than industrial pure titanium, good corrosion resistance in many media, and high strength. Therefore, GR9 alloy has become the ideal material for making bicycle frames with its excellent comprehensive performance.
